Photocards, [ca. 1865-ca. 1870].

Consists of 13 cartes de visite detailing the wood folk art carvings of H. Leach; one has an advertisement for his business on the back. Most are depictions of animal heads (dogs, cows, deer, etc.). A few portray men or women on horses. One of the cards illustrates a family seal with a note on the back: "a coat of arms carved for a party and not yet delivered." Another is labeled "The Violin Player by Raphael," and features an elaborate frame. Another note suggests that it was hung in the Massachusetts State House in 1866.
